Travelling to Cannes

A car gives you the flexibility to explore the inland Provence region, which is certainly a drive to remember, as the mountain roads afford a wealthof scenery. The drive along the coast is spectacular but tiresome for drivers due to excessive traffic. Italy is less than 2 hours away and border formalities (including car) are extremely convenient.

The high-speed TGV rail service has regular connections through Marseille and several other destinations.

If you're expecting to fly to Cannes, you'll have to fly into the city of Nice, located 7 kms west of Cannes. There are regular flights to Nice from many European cities, and limited trans-Atlantic flights. In all, 40 airlines land at the Nice Airport. It's also possible to fly into Marseille.

Ferry services to Mediterranean destinations usually arrive and depart from Antibes (30 minutes by train), but there is a departure from Nice to Corsica.
