Travelling to Dublin Airport
Dublin Airport has no dedicated rail service, yet local buses provide frequent
services (over 700 a day) to nearby train stations and other major destinations.
Dublin Bus runs to Heuston and Connolly rail stations while Aerdart serves Howth
Junction Dart Station. The Airlink Express bus runs to the city's principal
bus station, Bus Áras, and Connolly train station. Buses depart every
15 minutes between 0700-2300. Buses to central and suburban Dublin locations
are also available, as well as a bus serving Belfast, Banbridge, Newry, Dundalk,
Drogheda, and Balbriggan provided by Bus Eireann.
Aircoach coaches depart from the far side of the main car park building and
connect the airport with central Dublin, south Dublin and several hotels, leaving
every 15 minutes 24/7 (Ph: 0530-2230). Nesters and City Link operate a service
to Galway City.
The airport is located just north of the city, by car take the M50 ring road
north to the M1 exit. The airport roundabout is the first traffic light you
will reach. Most national roads lead to the M50.
Taxis are available outside the arrivals gate.
The short-term airport car park is a multistory building located close to the
terminal. Long-term parking is found a short distance from the airport and is
accessible directly from the motorway, with a free 24-hour shuttle bus taking
you to and from the terminal. A valet service is available for the short-term
car park (Ph: (01) 814 4341).
