Europcar Makes Car Rental Easier for Businesses

by Ella FAIRCHILD on September 1, 2009

As the car hire industry suffers with most of the rest of the travel business, companies are looking for innovative ways to draw more customers through their doors.   In an effort to target small and medium sized businesses, Europcar, the largest car rental agency in Europe is introducing a pay as you go plan, which will cut costs for businesses.   By getting rid of the need for long term contracts, businesses have more flexibility in car rental, which means more financial freedom.

Solutions that are custom made for each company will allow things like pre-paying for car hire at lower rates, as well as offering a pay as you go plan for businesses that are frequent or occasional renters of cars.

“Crucially we have removed potential barriers such as credit checks and improved access to vehicles with free delivery and collection for less frequent customers to make car and van hire much more convenient,” said Catriona Lougher, Europcar’s Marketing Director.

Europcar is also offering fixed rates for businesses that hire cars many times throughout the year.  This allows businesses to budget car hire as a fixed expense, which Europcar thinks many companies will appreciate.
With travel down due to the poor global economy, companies like Europcar are thinking outside of the box when it comes to car hire.
