Thomas Cook Sport official travel firm of Manchester United

Thomas Cook Sport has announced its partnership with Manchester United as its official travel partner for the popular football club.

The travel industry will provide exclusive worldwide travel for the sports team as part of a four-year agreement. Additionally, the firm will offer Match Breaks to all the team’s fixtures, including four and five-star accommodations and a ticket.

David Gill, the chief executive for Manchester United, said that the deal was a natural fit for the football club and the benefits would provide the team, club officials and millions of supporters with more comprehensive travel services. The travel firm will also feature special discount packages through the newly formed Manchester United Holiday Club.

Thomas Cook is the UK’s second largest leisure travel company and employs more than 19,000 people. Launched six years ago, Thomas Cook Sport has quickly climbed to the top of the UK’s sports travel market.

Group CEO from Thomas Cook Group plc, Manny Fontenla-Novoa said that the travel group was proud to have signed with Manchester United and would be offering match travel to all the football club’s fans on an international level. He added that Thomas Cook is currently the market leader and will also be offering packages for the World Cup and upcoming London Olympics.

Commercial Director for the sports team, Richard Arnold said that Thomas Cook would be a great asset for the team, stating that the brand name was synonymous with excellence. He added that the group was well known for its dedication to first rate service.
