Travelling to Majorca

As a major tourist destination, Majorca is easily accessible by either air or sea. For those arriving by air, the Son Sant Joan International Airport is the most convenient choice. Located in the south of the island, just 8kms from Palma, the airport is a large, modern facility and serviced by frequent flights from many major European cities. Flying time from most UK airports is around 2 hours, 30 minutes.

Domestic flights are also available from most cities on the Spanish mainland; however, they are generally expensive with the exception of flights from the main centres of Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid. A majority of visitors to the island arrive on package deals and airport transfers are usually included.

For the independent traveller, regular shuttles to the majority of Palma's resorts are available and travelling time is generally around 15 to 20 minutes.

Ferries arrive in Palma daily, running from the ports of Barcelona and Valencia.
