Hammamet Yasmine Hotels
Mini guide to Hammamet Yasmine
Hammamet Yasmine is a tropical paradise designed to pamper the lucky vacationer.
With a pristine coast that seemingly stretches forever, well-appointed facilities
and world renowned resorts, it is the new, sparkling face of Tunisia.
Located a comfortable but convenient distance from Hammamet town, Hammamet
Yasmine offers the best of both worlds - amazing beaches and crystal blue waters
with resort service, and a bustling town with a long history just a cab ride
away. Enjoy the sun, or try sailing, windsurfing or jet-skiing, which are just
a few of the active possibilities.
Hammamet Yasmine was built as a reproduction of an old town in classic Tunisian
style. It is a town in itself, and the creative common area has pleasant sidewalk
cafés and shops, along with a museum and Carthageland Park, a new theme
park which is guaranteed to keep the whole family smiling.
The many resorts at Hammamet Yasmine offer top class accommodation, restaurants,
bars and discotheques. For a glimpse of traditional Tunisian culture, a short
taxi ride will have you in Hammamet town. The medina is a nice place to explore;
while the International Art Centre, built by George Sebastian, has a great collection.
There is also decent shopping at the bazaars, but bargain hard for a good price.
Nabeul is only a short distance from Hammamet and is home to a Friday market
that is very popular. Alternatively, Sidi Djedidi is the site of an ancient
Roman town where you can see historic mosaics. The capital of Tunis is only
an hour away, and is where the true Tunisia can be experienced.
Hammamet Yasmine is accessible from main highways, and can be reached by rail
or bus from Sousse or Tunis. It is just over an hour away from the airports
at Tunis and Monastir.
