Blackpool is easily accessible from all parts of Great Britain with the M55 linking the town with the M6 and the country's motorway network. Blackpool enjoys the distinction of having a motorway link direct to the heart of the resort.

Blackpool is connected through the railway network to most destinations. Inter City trains from London (10-12 per day; 4 hours) and Manchester (35 per day; 1 hour 15 mins) connect to Blackpool via Preston, with the local shuttle services giving a speedy service to Blackpool (half hourly; 30 mins).

National Express Coach Services operate to and from Blackpool throughout the year. Travel is available from almost any of their 1500 destinations served within the UK. Blackpool Airport is just over two miles from the city centre, and offers flights to many major British cities. Scheduled services operate to London Stansted, Dublin, Belfast and the Isle of Man, and there are holiday series from Tenerife, Majorca, Alicante and Jersey. Occasional packages are available from destinations such as Vienna, Prague, Croatia, Sardinia, Sicily, Venice and Portugal. Blackpool is also well connected by road and rail with Manchester and its international airport.
