Cranbrook is a small country town located in Kent with a warm and friendly atmosphere. It was a centre for the production of broadcloth from the 14th to 17th centuries, and it makes a pleasant base from which to tour the surrounding countryside and local attractions.

A short walk from the High street is Cranbrook Museum, open from Tuesday to Saturday (April to October). The beautiful timber building houses various exhibits and collections documenting local history. The Union Windmill is a local landmark that was built in 1814 and is claimed to be the second tallest windmill in England that is still working. St Dunstan's Church, completed in 1516, is another worthy attraction full of splendor.

The town retains its medieval layout of streets and alleys and boasts numerous historically significant buildings from the 15th to the 19th centuries. The town offers a unique shopping experience, with small individual shops selling specialist items such as antiques, art materials and cheese lining the two main streets. There are also several galleries with a range of contemporary and traditional artworks.

There are numerous restaurants, cafés and pubs in the town, as well as the usual lineup of shops, supermarkets and convenience stores. There's also a sports centre with a full range of sport and leisure activities on offer.
