Travelling to Edinburgh Airport
Regular bus services leaving from Stand 18 on the terminal forecourt road outside
the domestic arrivals hall connect the airport with Edinburgh's main railway
station, Waverley, as well as Haymarket railway station. From either station
there are services to Glasgow and numerous other destinations in the UK. Buses
run every 15 minutes during peak periods and every 30-60 minutes at all other
times, with the journey taking about 25 minutes. Bus No. 100 is the express
service. An Airsaver ticket will get you into the city centre and includes unlimited,
same-day travel on the local city bus network. There are also buses to Dunfermline
and Livingston.
The airport is easy to reach by car and is well signposted, lying just off
the A8 highway connecting Edinburgh with Glasgow. Turn northwards onto the access
road situated between Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts.
The taxi rank is located outside the domestic arrivals hall beside the coach
park.
Both short- and long-term car parking is available; the former situated right
outside the terminal building while the long-term car park is located nearby
and is serviced by a courtesy shuttle bus leaving every ten minutes from 6am-10pm.
The courtesy bus leaves and arrives at Stand 17 at the terminal forecourt. Substantial
savings can be made by pre-booking (tel: + 44 (0) 800 844 844).
