Travelling to Glasgow Airport
 
The airport is situated on the west coast of Scotland just north of Ayr, 30
miles from Glasgow and 70 miles from Edinburgh. A range of transport options
make it easy to get to all major destinations in Scotland.
The airport is the only one in Scotland with its own train station, a convenient
80-metre walk from the check-in area along an enclosed skywalk. Trains to Glasgow
Central station leave every half hour (every hour on Sundays) and the journey
takes about 40 minutes. There are also frequent trains to Paisley leaving every
half hour. Many passengers use the airport train connection to take advantage
of the 50 percent savings on fares to and from anywhere in Scotland.
Stagecoach Western Express Service X77 is a direct bus connection between the
airport and Glasgow Buchanan Street Station operating every 30 minutes during
peak time and every hour at all other times, seven days a week. Journey time
is around 50 minutes and the fare is £3.30 one way. For further information

The M77 motorway provides a fast connection between the airport and Glasgow
city centre, with the journey taking just half an hour. From Glasgow take the
M77 south until it changes to the A77. Before reaching the town of Ayr, signposts
will lead you east off the A77 to the airport, situated between Prestwick and
Monkton.
Glasgow Prestwick has two short stay car parks within easy walking distance
of the terminal building, and two longer stay car parks that are served by a
free shuttle bus. Advance booking is recommended for longer stay car parking
