Travelling to Leeds
Leeds Bradford International Airport lies only 8 miles north west of Leeds'
city centre, off the A685 trunk road. This airport continues to grow and currently
has scheduled flights to most major cities in England, Scotland, and Ireland.
There are also connections to many major European destinations as well.
Leeds is well linked into the long distance bus services from the rest of West
Yorkshire. The main bus station is located on New York Street and a new National
Express coach terminal has been built next to the railway station. There are
about 100 departures a day from this terminal, servicing over 1,000 destinations
in the UK.
Leeds City Station is located within the central business district and boasts
the highest number of passengers of any station outside of London. There are
hourly services to London, Newcastle, Liverpool, Hull and Edinburgh via the
Coast Main Line and half hourly services to Manchester, Harrogate and Sheffield.
Leeds is also the hub of the local West Yorkshire rail network, which consists
of 65 local Metro Train stations. The majority of these have direct services

Leeds to North and South routes, and the M62 connecting Leeds to East and West.
