Travelling to Middlesborough

Teeside International Airport is less than a half an hour's drive from Middlesbrough.
The airport services scheduled flights to British and European destinations,
including London Heathrow, Aberdeen, Dublin and Amsterdam. Other charter flights
operate to cities in the Mediterranean, Jersey, Greece and Florida.
By car, Middlesbrough can be reached via the intersection of the A19 (north-south
trunk road) and the A66 (east-west trunk road). The city is located about an
hour's drive from Tyneside, Wearside and York.
Middlesbrough is a key point on the National Express coach network. Regular
services are available to London, Heathrow Airport, Luton Airport and Gatwick
Airport, and other major cities, such as: Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham,
Bristol, Glasgow, and York.
Middlesbrough is also easily accessed by trains. The city is serviced by most
of the long distance train operators, such as Arriva Trains Northern, GNER,
and Virgin Cross Country.
For a different travel option, Middlesbrough is on the National Cycle Network.
National Cycle Route 1 (Inverness to Dover) runs for 25 km through the town
and from Middlesbrough the cycle route runs west along the banks of the Tees
to Stockton. Southwards, the cycle route forms part of the White Rose Cycle
Route to York.
