Travelling to Scarborough

Scarborough is well served by road and rail networks, and is within easy driving
distance from several airports.
From the North and South, the Yorkshire coastline is easily reached by the
M1, A1 and A19, and from the West by the M18, M62 and A64.
The Great North Eastern Railway inter-city services run from London to Edinburgh
once an hour, with connections to Scarborough. Arriva Trains Northern provides
the cross-country service from Liverpool and Manchester. The Esk Valley route
to Whitby operates via Middlesbrough, whilst the Wolds Coast Line runs from
Hull to Filey and Scarborough.
National Express, Arriva, East Yorkshire and Coastliner combine to offer bus
services to and around the coastal towns and villages, and beyond to main British
towns and cities.
P&O North Sea Ferries operate a daily ferry service from Rotterdam and
Zeebrugge to Hull (one hour away by road).
The nearest airports are Leeds/Bradford (70 miles), Teesside (59 miles) and
Humberside (56 miles), with Manchester and Newcastle only 127 and 100 miles
away respectively.
