Travelling to Sheffield

Sheffield is well served by road, rail and air transport, making it extremely
simple to get to.
One of the best ways to get to Sheffield is to drive. Since it is located right
beside the M1 motorway (junctions 31 and 32), it is quick and easy to get to
from London.
Sheffield's train station, Midland Station, is just east of the city centre
off Sheaf Square and has regular services to London, Manchester Airport and
near by cities and towns.
The bus station, known as the Sheffield Interchange, is on Pond Street about
two hundred yards to the north of the train station. National Express runs extensive
and frequent services from London, Manchester, Leeds and other towns and cities
throughout Britain. Most local buses depart from the High Street, while the
Supertram system connects the city centre with the massive shopping mall at
Meadowhall.
Although Sheffield does have its own airport, it is small and does not cater
for international flights. Manchester, Leeds/Bradford or East Midlands are often
more convenient and are have fast road and rail links to Sheffield. The best
long-haul options are found to and from London.
