Travelling to Stratford-upon-Avon

Stratford upon Avon is located just south of Warwick and about 15 miles west
of Worcester. From London it is a two-and-a-half hour drive northeast beyond
Oxford.
Motorists can reach this small tourist town by exiting junction 15 of the M40
and following the A4. The A429 arrives from the south and visitors from Worcester
and Wales can follow the A422 westwards.
By rail there are regular trains to Warwick, connecting to Birmingham and the
rest of the UK. From London Paddington station, trains depart approximately
every two hours.
Being a popular tourist destination, Stratford upon Avon is easily accessible
to Shakespeare fans using a number of special tours out of London and other
centres, which offer the most convenient choice for making a day trip to the
town.
Independently you can catch regular buses from Victoria Coach station in London,
or a number of towns and cities in the Heart of England. National Express offers
a wide range of options or connections on their extensive network.
The nearest international airport is in Birmingham with services to other UK
destinations and continental Europe. For long haul departures and arrivals,
the best option is Heathrow Airport in London, which can be reached via the
M4 or Paddington station.
