Travelling to Swansea

Swansea does not have its own airport, but Cardiff International Airport is
only a 40 minute drive away from Swansea city centre. The airport is mainly
used for charter flights, although there are some scheduled flights to Aberdeen,
Amsterdam, Belfast, Brussels, the Channel Islands, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow,
the Isle of Man, Manchester and Paris.
Swansea is well serviced by several major motorways. The city centre lies only
3 miles from junction 42 of the M4 motorway. Swansea can easily be reached from
Cardiff, which is only 38 miles west of the city. The M4 has connections to
the M5, M32, M48, M49, and M50.
There are two direct InterCity trains an hour departing from London Paddington
to Swansea (duration 3 hours), regular connections from Manchester, the Midlands,
the West Country and the South Coast are also available.
National express, the national coach carrier has frequent buses departing from
London Victoria bus terminal, and connections in Cardiff make Swansea easily
accessible to the rest of Britain.
