Geography of Warwick

Warwick is the county town of Warwickshire, a county in the west-midlands of
England bounded by Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire,
Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire. Warwickshire presents a pleasant
undulating surface of hill and dale, watered by the Avon, Leam, and Tame. The
climate is mild and healthy, and the soil is fertile. Much land is kept in permanent
pasture for grazing. Formerly the county was thickly wooded (that part north
of the Avon being called the Forest of Arden), and fine timber is still abundant.
There are mineral springs at Leamington, Stratford on Avon, Ilmington, Southam,
Willoughby, and King's Newnham. The county is traversed in all directions by
canals and railways.
There are many expanses of pleasant wooded countryside to escape, many ideal
for families.
Kingsbury Water Park has 15 lakes situated in over 600 acres of country parkland,
and you can stroll along the surfaced paths, explore hidden corners, spot birds
and wildlife, or hire a bike. Similarly, Draycote Water Country Park provides
plenty of recreational activities such as boating, fishing, and swimming. The
20 acre country park offers wonderful views from Hensborough Hill over Draycote
Water Reservoir.
Other popular parks include Hartshill Hayes Country Park, Ryton Pools Country
Park and Ufton Fields Nature Reserve
